Field Day 1997 was on June 28th and 29th. (Some setup on the 27th!) at Devens, Mass. The site is (and will be!) just inside the Barnum Gate off the Ayer (Rts 2A, 110, 111) traffic circle. It was HOT in the 90's, and bright, and yet a breeze cooled off the tents.

Power sources were Solar and Generator. The site had 12 VDC and 117VAC to every position.

We used a 75 foot "Rocket Launcher" to support the HF wire antennas and a rotor for the VHF/UHF Antennas.

It was hair raising to do the tower raising!
PicF.9
Several folks were invited to shinny up the pole, none took avantage of the offer!
