Field Day 1996 was on June the 22nd thru the 23rd, at the 41 repeater site. The weather was... not good. There was way too much food and drinks because you didn't show up! The solar panels didn't get sun until Sun-day. Thanks to all those who worked hard to make it the fun it was.

Gordon WA9WTK (in shorts) and Larry KC1VS decided to stroll over to John's KE1CQ Screen House, one of the HF operating positions. The Ladder line and battery are just visible at the corner of the Screen House.

Cindy and Rich set up the food table where we had WAY more than we could consume. Bobby's garage served as a weather sheltered gathering spot.

Hey! I have and idea, Let's use the repeater tower to support the 80 meter inverted V dipole. This picture was take Sunday about the close of the Field Day events. Notice the great weather!
PicF.10
Bobby-B WA1ZJG did a super job in making the kitchen covered and somewhat sheltered.
PicF.11
Mike N1JLU decided another dipole would be great up the tower.
PicF.12
Mike N1JLU climbing up the tower, while John KE1CQ in rain poncho, provides guidance "Mike! Don't fall!", and Dan N1JEB pragmaticly observes Mike should take something up with him, while Tom WA1RHP is trying get upwind of the toilet.

Tom WA1RHP is trying to wake up after a fun night at field day. That stupid grin is painted on!

Faith N1JIT whos callsign we used for field day (It short!) did the lion`s share of the contacts.
PicF.15
Gordon N1MGO, and Bobby-B WA1ZJG were adjusting the sunlight down for the night time. Notice Bobby has rain gear.
PicF.16
Mike N1JLU finally woke up Sunday and decided to attach his new callsign plates.Bobby-B WA1ZJG used his power screwdriver to get Mike firmly established as a Ham Radio Operator.
PicF.17
Tom WA1RHP thought it might be great to attach another antenna to the truck.
PicF.18
Mike N1JLU made cables Saturday night for the 4 Yagi antennas.
PicF.19
Believe it or not, Tom WA1RHP attached the 6, 2, 440 and 1296 beams to the truck. You have to look hard to see the 2 meter and 440 Mhz antennas.
PicF.20
The 6, 2, 440 and 1296 beams supported on sections of mast. N1BWT supplied the 2 meter and 1296 Yagis and the mast, and Dan N1JEB supplied the 6 meter and 440 Mhz. Yagis.
